About the workshop: This event offers an opportunity for all past, present and potential community group participants in Adopt-A-Stream as well as others involved or interested in fish habitat restoration and other aspects of watershed management to meet and discuss and provide input so that we can move forward in a more comprehensive and collaborative manner.
The workshop aims: to showcase habitat restoration and other initiatives related to watershed management; and to identify needs of community groups, and solicit issues, topics and training requirements as a step in planning future sessions and/ or a larger conference.
All participants will have the opportunity to relay their group’s activities, plans and issues. Also on the agenda are panel presentations and smaller groups discussions on topics such as watershed planning; riparian landowner engagement; in-stream structure design, construction, and evolving methods; and funding.
This workshop is sponsored by the Nova Scotia Salmon Association and is free (and lunch is provided).
