The meeting begins with a welcome from our President along with an address on the state of the Atlantic salmon stocks. The remainder of the agenda is usually divided between exhibits, guest speakers addressing pertinent issues affecting Atlantic salmon and trout, the business of the Association and the election of the Officers of the Association. Attendance at the Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for members to have input and to shape the policies of the Association, participate in strategic planning and to renew old friendships ... all in the interest of providing a voice for our wild runs of Atlantic salmon and trout. The meeting is generally held in March or April of each year, in an area of the Province, which is central to most affiliates, i.e., Halifax or Truro.
Notification of the time and place of the Annual Meeting is conveyed in mail-outs and is announced publicly through this website and our provincial newspapers. We encourage one and all to join us at the Annual General Meeting and to join us in action - as a member of NSSA.
